Ingredients


  1. Chicken breast  11/2 lbs.
  2. Roasted coriander seeds powder 1/4 teaspoon
  3. Roasted cummin seeds powder 1/4 teaspoon
  4. Pepper  1/4 teaspoon
  5. Turmeric (root) powder 1/4 teaspoon
  6. Curry powder  1/2 teaspoon
  7. Galangal   slices
  8. Finely chopped lemon grass 1/2 tablespoon
  9. Sale 1 tablespoon
  10. Galic  5 cloves
  11. Coconut milk 1 cup
  12. Vegetable oil  2 tablespoons
  13. Sugar  2 tablespoons
  14. Small wooden skewers

Method

      Slice the chicken breast finely, width approximately  11/2 inches.
      Pound the blended together,blend in the blender, ingredient nos 2-10
      Pour the blended ingredient into the coconut milk and sugar, vegetable 
oil and blend again so that all ingredients are well mixed.Add the chicken
 slices and marinate for 2 hours.
       Thread the chicken slice onto the skewers.
       Pour the marinated sauce into the chicken slices while turning over.
       when cooked though, serve with satay sauce and cucumber sauce (Page 211)
